Solemn Service. Ministers enter in silence, all leave in silence. The Passion Gospel is read. Eucharist from the Reserve Sacrament.

This is a multigenerational worship service with Eucharist and various musical styles. Although it is a traditional Rite II service following the Book of Common Prayer, we are a community of laid-back people. Parishioners of all ages are welcome.

Transfiguration is located at 13925 New Hampshire Ave in Silver Spring, MD. Heading north on New Hampshire, we are just north of Randolph Road.
How long is your worship service?
Our worship service on Sundays at 10:30 am lasts about an hour and 15 minutes. We gather for fellowship and food immediately following the service.
What is the dress code?
Some people dress up, most are wearing business casual. Dress in what makes you comfortable and come as you are!
Yes! Children are always welcome at Transfiguration, and they are an important part of our congregation. During our worship service, they are invited to join our Sunday School gatherings or remain with their families – whatever you prefer.
Sunday School
Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join Sunday School during the 10:30 am worship service. When you arrive, they may go directly to their classroom in the Community Building (just ask). They will join your family in church during the Announcements.
Youth in grades K-5 are invited to join Sunday School after the 10:30 am worship service.
When you visit, we will welcome you at the front door. You may park in the lot on the side (lots of parking). We want to know your name, and we will invite you to introduce yourself during the Announcements – it is optional, no cold calling! We hope you will join us for fellowship and food in the Parish Hall after the service. Know that you are welcome and that we are blessed to have you join us!
