The Portal to Christian Education for our Children
The Sunday School provides the Liturgy of the Word for children, who learn best through short, directed, active teaching. It integrates our Children into a harmonious group of Christians, who live out their faith in a church community.
The Sunday School for young children (K - 5th grade) meets every Sunday—September through June—after the 10:30 a.m. service.
The Sunday School for older children (6th - 12th grade) meets every third Sunday—September through June—from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
We:
- Read and discuss scripture and Bible stories
- Apply scripture to our everyday lives
- Create imaginative arts and crafts to facilitate understanding
- Learn church songs
- Plan and implement a Youth Church Service once per year
For all who:
Love working with young, open, active minds
Enjoy teaching Scripture in creative, interactive ways
Want to welcome children into our church community
Sunday School is the place to help Transfiguration nurture young Christians.
