Sundays at 10:30 AM
This is a multigenerational worship service with Eucharist and various musical styles. Although it is a traditional Rite II service following the Book of Common Prayer, we are a community of laid-back people. Parishioners of all ages are welcome.

Transfiguration is located at 13925 New Hampshire Ave in Silver Spring, MD. Heading north on New Hampshire, we are just north of Randolph Road.

How long is your worship service?

Our worship service on Sundays at 10:30 am lasts about an hour and 15 minutes. We gather for fellowship and food immediately following the service.

What is the dress code?

Some people dress up, most are wearing business casual. Dress in what makes you comfortable and come as you are!

Are my children welcome?

Yes! Children are always welcome at Transfiguration, and they are an important part of our congregation. During our worship service, they are invited to join our Sunday School gatherings or remain with their families – whatever you prefer. 

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join Sunday School during the 10:30 am worship service on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Other Sundays, they can attend the service with their parents and serve as acolytes, ushers or readers.  In addition, a special youth activity is planned every quarter.

Youth in grades K-5 are invited to join Sunday School after the 10:30 am worship service in the Nursery room downstairs near the Parish Hall. If you have children, please have them join us!
