D. Winona Johnson Youth Scholarship Award

The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration is pleased to invite Transfiguration high school seniors to apply for the D. Winona Johnson Youth Scholarship Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding youth of the parish family who will be graduating high school in the coming year.

The five hundred dollar ($500) award is intended to help defray the startup costs associated with the first year of attendance in post-secondary education. The recipient may choose to use the award towards costs for attending college, vocational training programs, or any other costs approved by the church.

The recipient of the D. Winona Johnson Youth Scholarship will be announced on Youth Sunday, scheduled for May 21, 2017 at the 10:15 am service. All candidates will be notified of the committee's decision prior to Youth Sunday. The parish encourages all seniors to apply and congratulates you on your upcoming graduation from high school.
